Psychology Education Project Description

BCF is exploring some areas which are critical to rural children but are usually neglected. Our investigation suggests that teachers and students in rural areas and migrant labors' children's schools have some psychological problems. Some factors are contributing to it: evaluation pressure, teaching pressure, regulatory measure, lack of communication with outside world, dull life and curriculum changes.

It is clear that different schools are dealing with different problems and pressures. For rural schools, they don't have adequate facilities, don't have co-operation from parents, teachers don't have access to information from outside world, don't have career development track; urban schools are struggling with teaching, evaluation and other activities, parents have too high expectations to schools and students, teachers are stressed and don't have time and proper opportunities to upgrade themselves and are tired of their jobs. ¡£

We need to take psychological well-being of teachers and students in middle and elementary schools seriously, so we started to explore relevant programs since 2007.
