BCF's Rural Education Development Forum
 

With such strong belief in key role played by education in individuals', organizations' and society's development, BCF is working with NGOs who are engaging in education to foster educational development, share experience, integrate resources and attract attention of the general public to work out more effective ways of developing rural education.

In 2006, BCF received forum applications from 10 domestic organizations, after review, 5 forums were supported (see the table), these forums focus on migrant workers' children, training of teachers and capacity building of college students.

In 2007 £¬ BCF continues to give attention to the development of basic education in rural area and solicit applications for the forums £º

Project objective

Through the forums, information will be shared, resources will be integrated, and key issues prevailing in rural education will be mitigated.

Sub projects

£¨ 1 £© development of middle and elementary school students in rural area: concentrate on key needs and issues;
£¨ 2 £© development of middle and elementary school: concentrate on key needs and issues £»
£¨ 3 £© University student volunteers: operation models, function, experience and lessons for such volunteers .

Project requirement

£¨ 1 £© Theme of the sub project is definite and in consistent with BCF's key areas £»

£¨ 2 £© objective of the sub project is clearly defined, pattern can be imposed from the theme £»

£¨ 3 £© the forum can facilitate the implementation of other related activities and have sustainability £»

£¨ 4 £© the applicants should be knowledgeable in this area and have the capability to organize such forum £»

Project application

There is no deadline for application. The interested organizations can download the application form, fill it and forward it to BCF. The BCF will review it for endorsement for funding.

Available funding is less than RMB 30,000 for each forum.
