The BCF logo's design focus on our conviction - "Shou Ren Yi Yu", a Chinese proverb, which means "Teach a man to fish rather than giving him one". This conviction also implies our mission, 'To equip people to develop with dignity and to inspire them to help others'.
The major colors of our logo are dark blue and dark red.
The main body (the part in dark blue) is a semi-circle consisting of three diagrams symbolizing three fish, and the two blue wave lines symbolizing waves and ripples. The wire-netted stripes on the fish symbolize the fishing net, implying the Foundation's conviction "Shou Ren Yi Yu" ("Teach a man to fish rather than giving him one"). The dark blue color symbolizes the ocean, representing the Foundation's magnanimous spirit and self-sustaining longevity. It also represents the Foundation's values 'Let me love but not for gratefulness; Let me toil but not for rewards; Let me strive but not for remembrance; Let me suffer but not for care'.
The English abbreviation of the Bright China Foundation-BCF, in dark red, is above the main body. The color represents our enthusiasm and spirit of dedication, which is like sunshine illuminating people's lives.
The four small characters, "Shou Ren Yi Yu", are under the main body, indicating the Foundation's conviction.
